Information about a single lot of Charlee Bear Pet 16oz. Cheese & Egg Treat recall.
The recall was originally initiated from reports of an odor associated with a limited number of 16 oz. packages of Cheese and Egg flavor, lot 11 HA0909 and a "Best Buy Date of Sept. 30, 2013" and a UPC code of 8710896290.
Charles Bear Product's investigation discovered that some of the packaging and product in that single lot of Egg & Cheese flavor came into contact with a cleaning solution used in the packaging cleaning process when the product was packaged by a third party contractor. A toxicological assessment of the affected treat product revealed there is no health risk, however to ensure that all Charlee Bear Products are of the high standards set by the company, Charlee Bear Products elected to recall all the packages in that lot. No other Charlee Bear products are involved.
Please check your package and if it is that specific lot number, return it to the store of purchase for a full replacement or refund.
We apologize for an inconvenience and appreciate your preference for Charlie Bear Products. Should you have further questions, feel free to call the Charlee Bear toll free number at 1-800-880-2327.
