We would like to recognize the Mounds corporate staff for their outstanding work at Mounds.

Tim Walton is the owner and president of Mounds Pet Food Warehouse. Tim started with Mounds in 1995 at the Mounds Janesville location. In addition to being the owner/president he is also the buyer for the company. He reviews and purchases new lines and products for the company. Tim is committed to Mounds’ employees, customers, their pets and the community at large. He enjoys spending time with his wife Deb, children, grandchildren, and two Dachshunds – Foster and Sophie. He also enjoys spending time at his cabin, gardening, and the outdoors.

 

Katie Van Altena is the sales manager at Mounds. Katie has been with Mounds 12.5 years and started at our Mounds Fitchburg store. Katie oversees the managers and staff at our five Mounds locations. Katie likes that her job is never the same two days in a row, the people she works with, customers she helps, learning new things, and the support Mounds provides for local animal organizations. In her free time she loves to travel, ski, garden, and hang out with her pets.

 

Roger Keller is the accountant for Mounds.  Roger started with Mounds originally in March of 1986. He worked in the Middleton location when the store was in what is now the State bank of Cross Plains building, next to the current store.  When he started we sold gas, kerosene, soda, beer and snacks, along with the pet foods and a few supplies and toys. Roger says the people he works with and the people you meet here are the best part of working here at Mounds.  Animals are their passion. In my off time I enjoy spending time at my property in the hills of Crawford County or riding motorcycle.

 

Gilda Mulvaney is our HR, Benefits and Compensation guru.   She joined the Mounds team in 2001.   Gilda juggles a lot of responsibilities but always manages to keep her focus.  She is proud bibliophile:  Her favorite saying is, “She who has the most books WINS!”  Gilda enjoys spending time with her furry kids and volunteering with local shelters and rescue groups. 

 

Amy Owen is the systems administrator for Mounds. Amy has been with Mounds since 2001. Her job keeps her super busy – from updating computer systems, troubleshooting computer problems, entering new products, setting up sales and promotions, inventory, and much more. It is a wonder she has time to keep up with the three wonderful boys her and her husband recently adopted.  In her free time she loves birding, finding frogs and salamanders in local wetlands, and identifying snakes at the prairie in Spring Green. Amy is also a volunteer EMT and Firefighter.

 

Heather Sullivan is the marketing manager for Mounds. Heather started with Mounds in 1997 working as a cashier at the Madison East store. As part of her job she does the monthly newsletters, Mounds website and Facebook pages, signage for the stores, helps with the creative for Mounds bill boards, print and TV advertising, as well as plan Mounds biggest event of the year – Dog Fest. The best part of her job is getting to do fun new projects, create great ads, and work with the local rescues and shelters. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 dogs (Sash, Ella and Samson), reading, and camping. 

 

Amanda Westover is the corporate data analyst for Mounds. Amanda has been with Mounds a little over 7 months. The thing she likes most about her job is being able to work with the people her mom always considered part of her family.  In her free time she likes to spend time with her three children (Riley, Allie, and Ryder). Most nights she is running in between their activities and wouldn’t change that for the world!  On weekends they like to go swimming, camping, and spending time outside. Their favorite thing to do outside is spending nights by the campfire enjoying each other’s company.
